2002 Ford Engine-3.0 L
Taurus
Fuel efficiency has been declining, and the car is getting harder to steer.
With 234000 miles on the clock, it's in need of some serious attention.

*UPDATE* Customer reports a 2.2 MPG improvement after alignment
0055.jpg
This picture says it all... alignment is very
far off from ideal, causing scrubbing of the
front tires, reducing efficiency
0060.jpg
Everything disconnected, we have to move the
engine cradle to compensate for the chassis,
it has deformed and shifted with time and wear
0065.jpg
The engine cradle does not provide enough
adjustment to compensate, so we need to drill the
welds on the factory strut plates to move them
0070.jpg

With the strut plates disconnected, a full adjustment
on the upper strut can now be performed
0075.jpg
Ahhh... caster and camber are now better than the
factory ever delivered, perfect! All that's left is
setting the toe-in
0080.jpg
Toe-in is perfect now. The old Taurus has nimble
feet again. Steering is quick and requires less effort,
plus improved tire life and fuel efficiency
